  • Share the Harvest

    Saturdays through September 25th, 10A-12P

    This year terrain is partnering with Philabundance for their Share the Harvest program, to help increase the supply of fresh produce to members of our community without access to good food or nutrition. On Saturday mornings beginning July 17 through September 25, there will be a drop off location at the terrain home store, where we're encouraging customers to donate surplus garden produce. The food will then be collected and delivered to Share the Harvest, and distributed throughout the Delaware Valley to people who need it most. Additionally, a portion of the produce goes to use in Philabundance's Community Kitchen program, which trains low-income adults for jobs in the food service industry.

  • Bluegrass Night

  • Creating a Late Season Harvest Container

    Thursday, September 9, 6-8P

    Join terrain specialist Diane Maguire to plant a late season container vegetable garden.  Select from cool season vegetable crops and herbs to plant in our in vintage pear crates.

    Reservations required. $15 per person. Cost includes instructions and basic potting materials. Plants, fruit crates, and containers will be available for purchase.

  • Sunprint Kit Workshop

    Join local artist and teacher Jessica Durrant for a workshop on creating sunprint art. Pulling from her own love of nature, travel, and illustration, Jessica will demonstrate how to use natural light and objects to create your own blueprint design.

  • Terrarium Workshop

    Sunday, September 12, 1-3P

    Bring your favorite plants into your home year-round with the help of terrain's Diane Maguire. Whether you are a seasoned grower or a novice gardener, this workshop will spark your creativity to design a one-of-a-kind terrarium. Choose from terrain's wide selection of plants and glass vessels to create your garden. In this workshop, we will introduce you to the whimsical yet practical world of gardens under glass.

  • Modern Pantry: Canning Workshop with Marisa McClellan

    Join terrain and Marisa McClellan of the Food in Jars blog for a demonstration and workshop on pickling and canning your garden produce. All will have a chance to participate in making the pickles, and each participant will go home with a filled 8 oz. terrain weck jar.

    Saturday, September 18, 12-4P

  • Floral Arranging with Heirloom Pumpkins

    Friday, September 24, 6-8P

    Join terrain staff specialists to explore the colors and textures of fall. Using autumn blooms and heirloom pumpkin varieties, our staff will share ideas for creating beautiful seasonal arrangements for your home. Then, with our help, select and carve out a pumpkin to plant with a variety of fall flowers.

  • Mani Designs Jewelry Trunk Show

    Saturday, September 25, 1-4P

    Join terrain for a jewelry trunk show featuring limited edition pieces from New York's Mani Designs. View an assortment of botanical jewelry made from recycled silver and gold vermeil, meet the artist, and learn more about the lost wax technique she uses to make each of her casts distinct.

    Embracing the fading glory of the fall garden, terrain designers Matt Muscarella and Melissa Lowrie will mix brilliant autumn colors with soft and textural neutrals. Playing with some of our favorite shades; silver, tan, and grey, students will learn to mix bold statement pieces with subtle details using succulents, dahlias, seed pods, and unexpected grasses. Join us for a new interpretation of autumnal aesthetic, and uncover the simple beauty of the season's last hurrah.
